  • Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 4 (MEIF4) acquired 100 per cent of Slovak communications infrastructure business Towercom a.s. (Towercom). MEIF4’s third investment, Towercom owns and operates a comprehensive asset base of 685 tower sites in Slovakia, providing nationwide television and radio broadcast coverage across the country, under long-term contracts with public and commercial broadcasters. In addition, its satellite division provides uplinking services to most Slovak television channels, and its mobile site rental business hosts the country’s largest mobile operators.
  • MEIF4 is the latest in a family of European Infrastructure Funds managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA). Headquartered in London, MIRA is the world’s largest private manager of infrastructure investment, managing funds on behalf of pension funds, insurance companies, governments and other long-sighted investors who invest in MIRA-managed funds. MEIF 4 acquired Towercom from Hampden Investments Limited.
